nexplanon help

i got my nexplanon about a year and a half ago after trying many bc pills for two years due to my unchanging heavy periods (would bleed through tampons instantly, become extremely lightheaded, blackout/faint, dry heavy, bedridden pain (i am 115 pounds and 5’8” so this much blood loss was concerning)) that lasted 8-9 days. the first 6 months i bled everyday as expected and it gradually got to be a darker brown/ lighter red blood color. this kept up every day up until a few months ago (one year mark). at this point i am still bleeding every single day for the most part (probably a day or two every month i am not bleeding) but now i am experiencing pretty heavy cramps alongside heavier period blood every so often. i have tried 2 low dosage bc pills during the past 1.5 years, but those did not seem to help. i know i probably need to get it taken out, but why is this happening and what does this mean!
