Have you ever been divorced?

Im scared of marriage. Every wedding ive been to has ended in divorce. My parents even split before i was born. Its hard to expect someone can be there for the rest of your lives. Everything can be going great and then one day they dont love or want you anymore. Thats hesrtbreaking

I have many many friends who have divorced due to cheating, not knowing who the hell they actually married they were simply in love with the fantasy of “yep! He’s the one!” 
This is a major reason I waited 6 years to marry my husband. I wanted to know him, see how he respects others, how he lives, how his morals are in line with mine. Etc. people argue w me that when u know, u just know but honestly, that’s BS. ya I mean u might think to yourself how much u love that person and want to marry them after a year however that’s it- u don’t really know them fully. People hide a lot and are super sketchy and that’s the part most don’t want to realize and then they’re crying divorced with multiple babies under 4. It’s because they don’t take their time to date anymore- everything is rushed and keeping up and that’s just the reality of it, it ends in fights, breakups and confusion.

Yea. I been surrounded by marriages. But some marriages are healthy and some aren’t. As with any other major decision in life u should invest in learning what they say makes most marriages successful and also the benefits and consequences. I think relationships is the one thing people go at blind. We will research before buying a car, house, or what university we want to go to…. But when we go into relationships we usually just go with who showed attention or “was a nice guy.” And relationships are much deeper than that. And just because u only been around the unsuccessful at it doesnt mean u can not aim for a successful one. 
    Read. Listen to marriage councelors and books. I myself even went to marriage conferences as a single person. Some books u may consider are 23 guys you might meet in social media by janice hylton. Its about redflags, guys to avoid, and how to choose a partner. Her book the naked wife about women who married inspite of red flags and they share advice. Men are from mars women from venice about how men and women communicate and perceive things. His needs, her needs. Boundaries in dating just to help u learn. Suzanne venker on youtube is great. Asha C on youtube on some dating skills. Learn. Especially because picking out here are slim and u dont want to link up with a trifling dude. Some women have even married and hd kids with them because they didnt recognize the red flags. Ok
