Things are finally happening!
Been trying for months to get some assistance from the state. We are down to the absolute last of our savings which will cover all of this month.
I spent five hours on (or waiting on) the phone today getting everything figured out and we are finally getting some coverage. Including insurance!! Does that mean we'll be reimbursed everything we have paid in cash up to this point??? Since finding out of this pregnancy in August.. or was it September? We have spent upwards of $5,000 so far. My midwifery still wants $7,500 from us before this time next year. Which wouldn't be such a huge issue if this winter season didn't kick our house's ass or took out every piece of heavy equipment (essential for our livelihood) OR for the multiple ultrasounds + removal of my IUD in the earlier weeks. Seriously one thing after another.
Anyway, our heating assistance application has been approved!!! Most of our benefits will go straight into our chainsaw and approved vendors. To top that, 25% of our electric will be taken care of too! Which is nice since the boiler just went out again. 😅 And while I was on the phone with somebody willing to help me, I got she was able to work out what the heck everybody has been doing on my Medicaid file that was preventing me from getting insurance during pregnancy. She really saved our ass!!
Okay, thanks for reading lol ♥️
