Nipple thrush - please help

Do my midwife said it seems I have thrush as BF has been painful. It is more painful when I’m not. My dipoles HURT. I am a bit devastated honestly as I have to throw out milk I had already stored. The dr gave something for my baby’s mouth and a cream to put on twice a day. I put the cream on for the first time last night and it made my nipples BURN all through the night.

Has anyone else had this experience? It is rough 🥺 and when will it get better?

He was supposed to call me in a prescription for fluconozole- the tablet for thrush but didn’t.

Anyone with any advice please help. I. AM. MISERABLE.
