on a break and having a crush

my girlfriend asked told me she wanted to take a break about 6 months ago because she wanted to focus on herself and her depression and she didn’t wanna hurt me while doing that so she wanted a break. we have been texting every day ever since (as friends) and i’ve been waiting for her ever since bu it doesn’t feel like it’ll go anywhere.

today i met a new girl in my uni class n i know she’s gay and lowkey have a crush on her, what should i do? any advice? 🤦🏽‍♀️
