Not sure how to ask this.....an accountant told me to fill a 0 claim since I received that money but my teens worked part-time.....

To file their taxes or yours? If they worked and earned over $12,550 they must file and put yes that someone else can claim them as a dependent. To file yours just go through a free site like turbo tax and enter no income from a job but the info from the appropriate form for the advance on child tax credit. It walks you through all the steps. Probably not worth you paying to have it professionally done.
