I need help..

So I have a 4 year old son that started school in September. Starting in November he would puke like every other week, sometimes it’s just phlegm and he was 100% himself right after and other times he would be down for half the day and puke actual puke more then once. I’m going to be getting him into the doctors but is this normal for a child to have the “stomach bug” this much? If you have had experience what was it?
