NSRI’s while pregnant

Hi! I’m pregnant (6 weeks today!) with my first babe!! I’m also taking an NSRI (effexor) for anxiety and depression. My psychiatrist knew I was trying, and had offered this medication as it was a class B and “generally safe for pregnant mothers”. I had my first appointment yesterday and I am now marked as higher risk due to my increased risk for birth defects. When she mentioned cleft lip/pallet and withdraw in babies….I kind of lost it. I was told it is more dangerous to go off the medication than the slight risk I have with these issues. Has anyone delivered a healthy baby while taking an NSRI? I need some reassurance to settle my nerves 😫
