Eczema products

Question

Personally I’ve found zero products that have helped my sons situation. We’ve tried eucerin, petroleum, mustella, aveeno, and aquaphor. There’s no relief! I feel so bad watching him scratch at the red spots all over his body. Tubby Todd has an endless amount of oils in their products and the doc wants to push hydrocortisone. It didn’t help the first time, why would it now?!
Any tips on how to comfort baby?

My brother had really really bad eczema and no location or anything would help. My mom started using goats milk location and soaps when she washed him and it pretty much just went away. Could be worth a try?

Vanicream has been a life saver for my son who has really bad eczema. 
His allergist did say though that once you get eczema, regular moisturizers won’t do anything to heal it, which is why my son is also on a steroid prescription. So if he has a flare up, I’ll use the ointment, then put Vanicream on after. The Vanicream is to prevent a flare up, but once it’s there, then we use the steroid.

You’ve probably already tried this but we did all the same. Our doctor had me cut dairy and it helped tremendously. also make sure you are using hypoallergenic soaps and detergents

So I have had eczema my whole life.  I'm 27now.   Greasy lotions always made me itch worse.  Its gonna sound crazy but it is what helps me but Walmart sells a lotion and it's called Moisture cocoa butter care and it's the equate brand and in a brown bottle.  That lotion has been life changing for me.   Unfortunately I still have to use steroid creams but the lotion has helped me sooooooo much
