Can someone help be learn a little more about the ring?

I just switched from the pill to the ring about a week ago. It's been in there but I have questions about it, like: 
Is it normal to smell different down there? 
When I have sex will it be uncomfortable for both of us? 
Should I be taking it out every once in a while?

I'm on the ring, have been forever. It's just to regulate my periods and not for birth control (I don't need birth control, I'm gay) but yes, You CAN have sex normally, and NO do NOT take it out at all until you're ready to start your period. You leave it in for 3 weeks, take it out for exactly 7 days and then put it back in one day after you took it out. If you forget until the next day, that's pretty chill. Just don't forget longer than that if its being used as a precaution to avoid pregnancy. As for smelling weird, it's probably just your body adjusting to the hormones. Give it another month or two, make sure you're keepin everything clean like normal, don't wash it with soap, just water. And you should be fine!  🙂 it should not be uncomfortable during sex at all! It's meant to be used during sex, so if that happens, make sure to ask your doctor in case you may be putting it in wrong. It has to go pretty far up in your cervix. Farther than you may think. Just be cautious the first time so neither of your get hurt, and you should be golden 🙂
