Is it wrong for me to take my son for a walk while my daughter is home sleeping?

My son is 4 my daughter is 2.

When it’s nice out, I take my kids for walks.

So yesterday, my son really wanted to go for a walk, but my daughter had just fallen asleep. When she sleeps it’s for about 2 hours. It was the first nice day in a while. So I decided to take my son out for a walk around the block while my daughter was home sleeping in her bed.

My husband works from home, and we have a one story house. His office is the end of the hallway, her bedroom is the front. There’s one room in between. It’s a very small house. If my daughter woke up, my husband would know, bc he would hear her crying. Plus we have a baby monitor in her room so he was watching her. If she woke up, he could have easily called me and I would have been home in 5 mins. He would have been fully capable of watching her, he has watched the kids while working before when I had doctor apts. they go in his office and play with bean bag chairs. It’s not a big deal.

Well during the walk my mil called me and I mentioned we were on a walk, my daughter was home sleeping and she was so mad that I left her. I was so surprised she made a big deal bc like I feel like so many people work from home while having kids around. Did I do anything wrong?
