Did anybody get the wrong gender with blood work at 9 weeks ? Mine says boy but my dreams telling me girl ? Could it be wrong and fetal fraction is 6 % ?

I would say maybe if it was the other way around but since you’re female it wouldn’t pick up make DNA by mistake

9 weeks seems super early. My doctor isn’t offering the blood test until my 12 week appointment

It’s 99% accurate but I’ve never heard of it being done at 9 weeks? Mine wasn’t done until 15 weeks.

NIPT can be done at 9 weeks (honestly, even earlier), but it has a higher chance of not having enough fetal DNA, so most offices wait until 10 weeks or later. If it was too early, there wouldn’t be enough fetal DNA and the test would just “fail”. In that case, they wouldn’t give you a result at all and recommend a redraw. Because they gave you a result and it was a male result (they detected a Y chromosome that you wouldn’t have), it is very very likely to be accurate.

Never heard of a NIPT before 10 weeks but with a boy result I think the only way it could be wrong is if there was a vanishing twin or something and it was picking up male dna from that? I would imagine that’s near impossible but who knows🤷🏼‍♀️

My NIPT results said boy and has been confirmed numerous times via ultrasound.
