What sounds like a better option?

Question

My husband and I are going to Disney World in Florida and stopping to see Savannah, Georgia for one or two nights. We are driving from central Ohio (~10hr drive to Savannah). 
We both get off work at 4:30pm on Friday. 
Should we:
A. Leave right at 4:30pm when we get off work on Friday evening, drive half way to Savannah and get a hotel. Arrive in Savannah around 3pm on Saturday. 
Or
B. Leave on Saturday morning (like 4am), arrive in Savannah around 3pm on Saturday. 
Or
C. Other option (please comment)

I’d go early morning you can rest after work and save on the hotel to have more spending money for the trip

I'd leave in the morning to make sure I got adequate rest before all that driving. Driving while tired is just as dangerous as driving drunk. You also need to take into account traffic which will prolong your trip.

Hows rush hour traffic by you?  I would opt for evening because 4am youre gonna be too exhausted to enjoy anything, at least I would be. But if rush hour is bad by you, leaving at 5ish could be stressful.

Do most of your driving at night. We always leave right after work. This past weekend we got off that morning and left at like 9 am, it was terrible. Take turns napping/driving and you get an extra day.

We live in NE ohio and did a very similar trip a few years back, but we stopped in Atlanta then went to Universal instead of Savannah and Disney. We left in the AM and got to Knoxville TN around 6:30 pm, had dinner and rested for the night. Drove 3 hours to Atlanta next day and went to the (AMAZING) aquarium. Drove another 3 hours to Augusta to our next hotel that night and then woke up early drove another 2.5 hours and we were settled in our Universal hotel by 11 am. It was an awesome road trip and one I can’t wait to do again in the future. I’d definitely recommend a fresh start to all that driving and we are people who love to drive to all of our vacations.

Leave super early morning. It’s best to sleep even half a night before driving. My husband and I have taken a lot of trips like that and we usually leave around 3-4am. You also miss traffic that way. If you leave in the afternoon then you’ll get Friday night rush-hour traffic and it will just add hours to your journey. If you leave super early in the morning then you’ll make a good headway on your journey and still have some daytime to enjoy when you get there, all without skipping an entire night of sleep.

I live about 2.5 hours from Savannah and we love to visit whenever we get a chance. I think it would be best if you could spend a good full day and night there to get the most of your trip :) 
My recommendations: 
The Hyatt is a great hotel right on River Street. Or 
The Westin is right across the River and they have two ferries that run about every 30 mins back and forth to River street, which is a fun experience in itself. 
For a nice dinner, The Olde Pink House is my favorite!
