Breast pump advice??

Question

First time mum and I'm planning on expressing a lot of breast milk and storing it in the fridge/freezer but I'm not sure which product to buy. Manual pumps are obviously cheaper but are the electric pumps worth paying extra for? I'm not sure what brand either, I was thinking of getting Avent and buying all bottles and accessories with that brand but I'm just not 100% sure!

Check with your insurance or go through the target pump program. Most insurances will cover the cost and if you go through the target program they'll just send the free pump right to you hassle free.

I used a first years one and medela with my last and can 100% recommend the medela so much better results and comfort and my baby didn't latch so I exclusively pumped and it did wonder I stock piled over 2000 oz in my 12 weeks off work

I'm a FTM and have no idea which breast pump to get either but I've read a lot of great reviews on the Spectra S1 double electric hospital grade pump. I've got avent bottles as well and I've heard you can pump directly into them with the Spectra S1

Medela is always recommended by dr's & hospitals b/c they are hospital grades but I had one before (a single electric) by tommee tippee it was on sale at Ross for $40. It was ok & that was with my first child in 2013! My insurance has paid for a "the first years" brand double electric pump but my son isn't due til April so I'm not sure how it works. They are expensive I know that!
