Period + Brown Discharge? Help :-(

So, I am supposed to get my period in about 3-4 days… However my period isn’t normal, at all. I got one last month and before that I hadn’t had one in a few months, before that almost 6 months. In between these I would usually get a brownish discharge, which I know is dried blood, but I’m just not sure what’s going on. Should I be expecting a period soon? I haven’t felt any symptoms. I’m just confused. Does it mean anything?
