He loves you and wants to show affection. My bf did this. Only sometimes id catch him when im slightly woken up by it. He would give me a tender kiss on the forehead or pull me closer in our sleep

I used to kiss my husband on the lips in the morning before going to uni. Just a peck. But after a year he told me it woke him up and couldn’t go back to sleep😁 so I stopped.
