Episiotomy

I had an episiotomy two years ago, the stitches came open and it was left to heal and it took months. It doesnt cause me any bother two years down the line but ive noticed the vagina entrance and just inside feels much harder and lumpier then the side that didnt have an episiotomy. Is this normal? Anyone have a tear of episiotomy that can reassure me thats normal scar tissue?
