Losing mucus plug 28 weeks

This is my 3rd child I do recall I think with both losing parts of mucus throughout the pregnancies and went overdue but that was 5 years ago so I'm forgetting exactly. I'm now 28 weeks 1day with baby 3 and friday at 27 weeks it seemed that a piece of my mucus plug came out when wiping it was clear no color just large and mucusy and thick (sorry tmi) I have an apt Wednesday and will ask them to check I'm just worried I have not had any pain or bleeding thankfully just that night I ate something that gave me the runs so I was cramping then wonder if that caused it after that just had clear discharge mucus like but not much after that it was gone by next morning. Definitely praying to make it to full term with this one and my other 2 were so hoping this was just nothing and it will regrow was wondering if anybody had a similar experience
