Aromatherapy patches?

Hey guys! I’m new here and newly pregnant.

I am already making my birth plan to get it out of the way and so i have lots of time to adjust it. I really wanted to have a water birth but its not in the books for me right now. (Midwives too expensive, hospitals that do water births are too far)

However a closer hospital (about an hour away) does something called aromatherapy patches for pain relief during labor and i was wondering if anyone has used it and how your experience was with it
