Do I wake my 10 day old up for feedings or wait for him to wake me up?

I wake mine up every 2.5 hours during the day to nurse and then let them go 3-4 hours at night before waking them to nurse.

I just went through a lactation class yesterday..  they recommended not to let them sleep more then 3-4 hours without feeding in the first 4-6 weeks. Especially if you're breastfeeding because this can hinder milk production if they aren't nursing often enough.

Yes I believe so , also check with your pediatrician to see when you can stop waking them in the night

The thing is, you should wake if baby has not gained back birth weight yet, and the growth is not established.
So basically when a doc says baby is growing fine, you can stop, it takes around 2 weeks to a month and depends on baby.
So I would for sure wake a 10 day old.
