Does tricare cover IUI or IVF?

We've been ttc for so long.  Then he's gone all the time. So can anyone explain what iui is or if the military will cover it please.  He's either in the field or deployed every time for the last few years. And now I'm older so it's even more difficult to ttc and timing.  Experience anyone?

Tricare covered all the testing and
Meds leading up to the iui but not the actual iui itself. Every clinic charges a different fee but we paid $1000 for ours and it worked! Some mtfs are able to do iui for free! And I just found out or local birth center does iuis that are much more affordable than fertility clinic. Just some options ☺️

I’m not an expert but I do know that tricare does not cover IVF, I believe all you get is a discount on those services through a military hospital. I’m sorry I know TTC is difficult with a military spouse. I can’t speak to iui but if you have a doctor through tricare I would reach out for a referral to a fertility clinic that may accept tricare and get some tests done if you haven’t already and that may help before having to go down the IVF route.

I did IUI 4 times in Rhode Island we have unexplained infertility , most infuriating and frustrating thing ever . They say everything looks amazing and all of our tests are great , but we have only been pregnant twice in three years and both ended in loss before the third month. I started working last year with a company that will pay for IVF and that’s our next step. But I didn’t have to pay for Hsg or any blood work or any testing , we did have to pay for his sperm analysis and for the iui but both combined was 350. Unfortunately we are moving out to Washington, so I have to find a new clinic and start over . #military life

So update. I am in Oklahoma and Tricare covered my hsg, my initial testing for fertility and they covered a portion of my husband's semen analysis. And I am doing IUI this month because he is once again not going to be around for any fertile Cycles between fieldwork and deployments. We did have to pay out-of-pocket for my ultrasound to see where the status of my follicles were which was $266 and then my I you I will be $380. Desperately praying that this I you are the first round of works so if any of you are still following on this or see it please pray for me! This is probably going to be my last shot at trying this! Oh and I only had to pay $3 for the letrozole and the trigger shot I only had to pay $38 . Tues is IUI DAY!
