Going on Vacation While Pregnant?

So my family has a time share in the Bahamas. We go every year in March. I will only be 16/17 weeks pregnant when I go. I've heard mixed reviews on traveling while pregnant and traveling outside of the country. I would like some feedback from people who have actually traveled outside of the country while pregnant and their experience. Also, I am pregnant with twins :) I feel great so far! No sickness, no crazy symptoms. I just get hot while I sleep but that's really it. Any tips on being in the heat while pregnant too would be great! Thanks everyone!

I traveled to Hawaii in October from Seattle so about a 5 hour flight. I was 15 weeks then with my twins and it was totally fine! Other than my morning sickness still at the time, I just got up about every hour (including having to constantly use the bathroom lol) plus slept a bit and the flight was fine. Just make sure you stay hydrated and keep snacks! :) the trip was a week long and my dr. Was ok with it! Sorry it's not out of the country like what you're doing but it'll be totally okay!

I traveled to Puerto Vallarta Mexico when i was about 11-12 weeks. I just made sure I stayed away from the seafood since everything is fresh and carries a lot of bacteria. I wore seabands for the flight to help with nausea and I believe they helped. I think you are in your prime time to travel in the second trimester. When I was back home I was a bit exhausted from the flights and the stay out there but nothing a couple good nights sleep in the comfort of your bed and pillows won't do. ☺️ good luck!!!

Prego with twins also here. I flew from Germany to the US at 13 weeks and was fine. Got up and walked every few hours, tried to sleep. We are about to make a 15 hour drive home for the holidays at 32 weeks (with doctor approval) and we plan to stop every couple of hours so I can stretch and walk 😊 I differ as long as I have my Drs ok and am careful we'll all three be fine.
