Hemorrhoid relief

So I am currently 19 weeks 3 days. I am 38yrs old and pregnant with my first child. And in the last few days I developed hemorrhoids.. I am in so much pain. I've had hemorrhoids in the past before ever being pregnant and it's never hurt this much.. I am wondering if anybody has any remedies or relief for this pain. I am using the hemorrhoid cream but it doesn't seem to be working and sometimes it feels like it's just making it worse. I am so scared to even go to the bathroom cause it hurts so much. I am in desperate need of some relief..
