Did your doctor offer to induce you before your due date?

Regardless of whether or not you agreed to be induced, did your doctor offer to induce you before your EDD? I’m non high risk but baby has been kicking my ass I’m ready to be done soon 🥺

Im in the UK, and was low risk, my midwife wouldnt do anything until after my due date. And then it was only a membrane sweep they offered. They wouldnt fully induce until I was 2 weeks over due (I ended up luckily going into labour after the sweep, so didnt need the full induction anyway).

Yes, all the OBs I’ve had offer induction at 39 weeks!

Nope. I was induced with my first due to pregnancy induced hypertension. At my 39 wk appointment with my second she told me if I didn't have him by 41 weeks, we could start looking at scheduling an induction (they won't let you go past 42 weeks) other than those 2 situations (pushing past 42 weeks or medical necessity) my OBs office won't even mention the words induction. Elective inductions aren't a thing there.

My hospital offers 39 week elective inductions as part of a long term study so I scheduled one. Ended up going into labor naturally the day before it was scheduled.

My first 2 pregnancies they wouldn’t before my due date but this 3rd pregnancy I’ll be induced week 39 because I had Covid during the pregnancy

With my daughter I had pregnancy hypertension, maternal fetal medicine said I should be induced between 37-39 weeks due to increased risk of preeclampsia, at my 38 week appointment i asked about being induced and the midwife I was seeing that day listed every potential complication under the sun and tried to talk me out of induction, when I reminded her what MFMs recommendation was she scheduled it for 38w5d. I understood the risks and had already had to go into L&D the weekend before because my BP was really high and the midwife that was on call that day reminded me to discuss my induction at my appointment that week. I did end up developing preeclampsia during labor so I’m glad I pushed to be induced when I did.

They did but we never made it to induction date. I had an emergency csection at 33 weeks 6 days, due to HELLP syndrome

Im overweight like severely so with my middle child I asked at 39 weeks to be induced. I was so done with being pregnant. I plan on asking how soon I can be induced with this baby too. I’ve given birth naturally before and absolutely hated it. Having it planned made the whole process easier and honestly quicker for me. Its not that way with everyone (or even most people) but it is for me.
