Hey guys! I absolutely LOVE the name “Ocean” for my babygirl… I love the ocean and have always felt the strongest sense of peace there. Is it a horrible name? Would she/I be ridiculed for it?

I have no preference either way on the name Ocean (like others have said, people will have strong opinions either way on the name) but I saw that you said in a comment that you have another child named Indi, and my first thought was that if you name your child Ocean then when you say Indi and Ocean it is going to sound like the Indian Ocean. I don’t say that to deter you, but just to be aware of that. :) Do whatever you like best! And congrats on the baby!

It’s a unique name which means some people just won’t understand it- it’s not going to be everyone’s style! As long as it’s your style it’s good

Idk why people said its horrible, It’s not, i love the name. And since you love the ocean that gives it such a special meaning. I think its perfect. Its your baby, dont listen to other people. Anytime we brought up a potential name for my son my husbands family would make fun of it so i finally told him i didn’t want to tell anyone the name until we were 100% sure about it, We went with Jasper and yes people made fun of it but thats our son’s name and nobody says anything now😅

For a boy, Avery Scott
For a girl, Annalise Noelle

I like it! It’s unique and the ocean is beautiful and awesome! My girl is named River which I know is a more common name than Ocean but I love it ❤️
