Incompetent cervix & pessary!!
I was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix around 21 weeks. Yesterday at my doctors appointment/ultrasound they told me that the progesterone they put me on to hopefully lengthen my cervix hadn't worked like they hoped so they had to put in a pessary. For those that don't know what that is, it's basically a doughnut shaped device they put in to take the weight and pressure off your cervix. In my case, it's being used to prevent preterm labor. Has anyone else had this? What were your symptoms after having it put in? I'm 34 weeks 1 day now. Thanks in advance for any input.
