So I got accepted to nursing school...
Hi everyone,
I applied to nursing school 2 and half years ago at near by community College. They have long waiting list so I received placement today. I'm not sure if I am ready to start school this year. I have 2 toddlers that are not in school yet and my husband and I are trying for our 3rd. I am 36yrs old and I feel like I cannot wait to have babies any longer. If I was to start school that means the kids have to go to daycare full-time and right now we cannot afford daycare. There are no family members that can help us. My husband is a trucker and he's on the road alot. A typical schedule for nursing school at the college I applied to is 3 days a week including 12hrs clinical + endless hours of studying, reading, and practicing skills. I feel like I need to put school on hold and focus on my family. My husband suggested I wait until his trucking business grows little bit so we can afford whatever I may need. I don't know what to do. It makes me so sad that I have to let go of something I've waited 2 years. Any advice or suggestions?
