Has anyone had their child’s father try to falsely accuse you of neglect?

We have been divorced for 7 years and my son has lived with me all this time. Recently I put him on child support due to him to helping or paying for anything when comes to clothes, sports, anything. He doesn’t go to any sports events or school events. He how there every other weekend. Also put in a court order for us to meet 50/50 because I’m driving an hr right now and he drives 20 minutes. He threatened me and said that if I took it to court that he would have a lot of stuff to say about me. Now he wants to say I’m neglecting our 9 year old when it comes to showers (because I don’t wash him off and his dad still does even though I’ve told him he can do it) and he says that I don’t have clothes that fit him. Which none of it is true. Any advice on how this will go? Thank you!

No also I couldn't imagine washing my son when he's 9 as it is, we stress on privacy and hes 4. 
Unless he needs you, he should be more than capable showing alone. I know I was.

A 9 year old is definitely old enough to bathe themselves.. weird that he doesn't think so. I don't have advice on this but sending good vibes and hopefully someone else can comment.

I'm sorry but I'd be having a talk with your son about this. Does he actually want his dad to wash him off? Because I just find that odd. A 9 year old should be more than capable of washing themselves.

Im a mandated reporter. Unless your child has a foul odor or ongoing body rash, and he doesnt have at least 3 or so outfits and 1 pair of shoes that fits him, he has zero case. It sounds like hes trying to intimidate you.

That’s not neglect and he would be laughed at by the judge 🙄 as long as your child is seeing doctors, dentists, etc regularly, has clothes, food, roof over their head, is going to school and maintaining decent grades, etc you will be fine. No judge is going to care about the shower thing, as long as the child is being bathed. Him claiming the child doesn’t have clothes is more of a reason for him to pay child support, like great you can help ensure the child has clothes then! You’re not unreasonable to ask for fairness and for financial help. My ex tried this bs with me, didn’t work. Don’t let him stress you.

Let him. He’ll look crazy for washing a nine year old. How embarrassing for your son. As long as the child doesn’t have special needs or anything he’s perfectly capable. As far as clothes maybe if he contributed you’d buy new clothes lol but as long as the child isn’t grossly in outgrown clothes I wouldn’t worry at all.

I’m just throwing this out there, could he be SA your child? Why would a 9 year old need help washing off in the shower, they’re 9 they know how to clean themselves, that is extremely weird to me

I've known you posted before. you need to have an attorney ready to go and I would almost push for visits considering his verbal assaults, manipulative behavior, and feeling the need to wash a 9 year old
