Newborn sleeping during the day and at night

FTM here my baby is a week old and she sleeps pretty good at night and seems sleepy during the day too. Her pediatrician said this was normal. She has a sound machine on at night and I also play it during the day when she takes a nap after eating. Should I not have the sound machine on during the day? Should I try to keep her up during the day? I'm not sure what to do. I don't want her to get her days and nights mixed up but she usually always wants to sleep after eating.
