My step mom has being nothing short of evil about it and I am 40, and I cannot figure it out.

I'm so happy to be preg, but in finding it really awkward to talk about it all the time. I've got 1 friend who had a MC 2 weeks ago and another that had a MC earlier in the year. I want to be sensitive to them but others keep bringing it up and it makes me feel awkward. I also feel awkward that people I never talk to at work feel the need to stop and ask me questions about it. Don't get me wrong I couldn't be happier but all of this attention seems out of place. In saying this though, it is nice that people care enough to take the time and that I'm now getting asked about being preg not when we'll have kids. I guess I'm the one being strange about it all.

Actually my step mom was really weird about my pregnancy. My dad had me very young, and got married to her when I was a teenager, they have a 7 year old and my dad told me she had 5 miscarriages before my little sister, and that they tried to get pregnant again after with no luck. I felt really awkwardly sad about it, but at the same time I'm not that close to her. Every time I saw her she was nice enough, but she wouldn't stay around me very long, she would find an excuse to go to the store or even just another room.

I am dreading telling the girl I work with as I know that while she won't admit it she will be very jealous. Her sister in law recently got pregnant and it's all she talks about. Shes very unpleasant about it. I know I shouldn't let it bother me its just the kinda person she is but it bothers me a little.
