Allergy and eczema advice needed!
Hello, my daughter is now 9 months and has been struggling with severe eczema since she was a few weeks old. I cut out dairy, soy, eggs and nuts out and it seemed better for a while but then got really bad again. We have been in a cycle of using every steroid for all these months. They seem to work and we taper to stop but it always comes back when we taper/stop. She has confirmed allergies to egg and sesame (they didnt test tree nuts or shellfish yet and have since started eating dairy and soy again). The allergist told us not to give her any eggs or sesame for a full year until our next appointment. My concern with this is that it could develop into a more severe allergy this way? Is there anything I could do to try to help the allergy weaken? Is there any advice how to taper steroid properly? I feel so sad to watch her itch all day and look so uncomfortable. Rash is all over her, This is a photo from today 😢 Thank you for any advice!
