Hospital bag...what are you packing?

Hi Mamma's. I am mamma to a beautiful, happy, loving little 2 year girl who is out shining light and our whole world 💗 This is my second pregnancy..and Im wondering what are you packing in your hospital bag the second time around you might not packed first time around.. or just in general..what are you packing???

I’m packing little to none lol I barely used anything last time. For myself I’ll pack pajamas, robe, socks, adult
Diapers, blanket, pillow, and hygiene products. For baby I’ll pack 1 outfit to go home in- my daughter just wore the little shirt they gave her and the sleep sack while at the hospital. I  will also pack lots of snacks for my husband lol

A fan, snacks and drinks, phone chargers, tablet, comfy clothes, robe, slippers, my own face wash/shampoo stuff, make up, my own lotion, possibly my own underwear like the Frida mom brand (I’m still thinking), 2 outfits for baby, pacifier.

- My own delivery gown bc hospital ones never fit me.
- 1 pair comfy sneakers and flip flops 
- 2 other nightgowns to wear that are nursing and skin to skin friendly. Loose dress to wear home
- a robe
- Postpartum undies and 2 nursing bras, grippy socks
- Ice pack maxi pads
- Lidocaine spray (works better on perineum, plus the dermaplast the hospitals give you was never meant for vaginas and privates!!) 
- toiletries (face wipes, lotion, headband, and lip balm are a must)
- aromatherapy room spray and aroma stress-relief oil roller 
- my own towel, blanket, pillowcase bc I hate the thin scratchy hospital ones
- electric heating pad for my back and staying warm in hospital!
-sugary snacks and Gatorade for labor
For baby-
- 3 swaddle blankets
- hat
- coming home outfit 
I probably take more than most as far as hospital comfort is concerned bc I’ve spent a lot of my life in hospitals bc of rare disease and I’ve learned it’s a better experience if you make it feel like home.

I’m actually planning to pack less this time. We live so close to the hospital that it’s easy for my husband to grab things if needed since he goes home to take care of our dogs anyways. So I’m focusing on comfy clothes, phone charger, maybe my laptop/charger, and some good snacks and that’s about it.

You could look on your hospital's website to see if they have a list! I found out our hospital gives a list of what to pack a few weeks ago. It's very reassuring so I know what they will and will not provide

Slides, A blanket (the hospital one are not warm enough), Nursing pillow, phone chargers. A comfy outfit for afterwards and for baby. My hospital provides most everything else. I will buy depends and pads for at home postpartum supplies.
