Sleeping on your back??

How serious of a problem is it to Sleep on your back when pregnant. I'm 19w6d and always fall asleep on my left side but wake up on my back even with Pillows behind my back.

Your body will let you know when it's time to stop. I'm 17 weeks and still sleep on my back

My dr says it's okay basically unless it's uncomfortable or if I'm in the last month, then she suggests propping myself up. I am usually a stomach sleeper but with my nasal congestion lately I turn to my back. My dr isn't worried about it

I've been wondering the same thing. I try snd sleep on my sides but sometimes I can't take it anymore and lay on my back. Plus my hips have started to hurt from laying on my side so much.

My doctor says its okay until 24 weeks because that's when most people start feeling uncomfortable

I was just wondering this myself! My hips are killing me half way through the night and I think 4 times last night I woke my husband up by saying "I can't be on my back" because I somehow always end up that way.

I slept in my back with both my boys and now with this pregnancy, i have problems with my hips. just prop yourself up on pillows almost like sitting in a recliner and have a pillow under your legs. As long as your not flat on your back you are just fine!
