Ladies that have had preeclampsia before

I had preeclampsia with my first. It presented very quickly with no warning and no symptoms aside from severely high blood pressure. DD came out of it fine, I was 39w when it came on.

I know pre-e is more common is ftm's, but I was wondering how many of you had it with more than one pregnancy?

My doctor has suggested an aspirin regimen, 81mg, based on fairly recent research that says it can reduce the risk of pre-e in women that have had it before. But, there are known risks to taking aspirin in pregnancy. I have searched and searched for a legitimate study that has researched the risk of low dose aspirin but the info is just not there.

Has anyone else done an aspirin regimen to prevent pre-e? Did it cause any issues? Is there another recommendation that you have gotten to help avoid pre-e?
