I'm so confused. Was I pregnant or not???!!!

Please can anyone advise me- I'm just so confused.. :( 
I have a regular as clockwork cycle- af is only ever maximum 1 day late/early, and that is rare. Also, I suffer from really severe pms and I am fully aware of my body and symptoms as I have been tracking for some time.

2 days before af I was violently sick, did a blood test but it came back negative. 4 days later still no af, 3 home tests came back positive. 
pregnancy symptoms began; sore and growing breasts, extreme fatigue, frequent urination and, importantly for me, a lack of those pesky pms symptoms. 
Ten days later I got serious cramps, and spotting. This worsened and I went to the doctor. I already knew that I had miscarried, but what the doctor said baffled me.

She said there was no sign of me having ever been pregnant, and my hcg level was only 2!!!!

I find it hard to believe that I was never pregnant- what were the symptoms and 3 positive tests about? And where was my period?!

Does anyone have any answers?

I had miscarried early but since I had my ob appointment  5 days later, I had not rushed to see her earlier. She said after taking my blood but before knowing the results, even if the number comes back as 0, that does not mean I was not pregnant. She said, as a woman, you know when your body is changing by the effects of a pregnancy. No test is perfect. All have flaws. If you know, if you had symptoms and since you had positive results, you do not need a doctor to tell you the opposite. In fact I would suggest finding another that listens to you more. My first mc occurred 7 years ago and that doc didn't give a blood test but only urine and told me I just had a heavy period.  I now know he was wrong. The pain I felt then was worse then my last miscarriage which my current doc has classified my latest as a chemical pregnancy.

Same thing happened to me. I was less than one and they said if you were actually ever pregnant its gone now. 3 at home tests were positive only days before. I had a chemical pregnancy. Don't let anyone tell you that you weren't pregnant.

It sounds like you had a chemical pregnancy. The egg and sperm met but did not implant properly in order for the embryo to grow. So sorry you are going  through this.

You were in fact pregnant but the mc made ur HCG levels drop significantly. My doctor calls it a spontaneous abortion. I had 5 positive test including a digital that tell u the weeks, missed af sore breast and jus like every other time we we pregnant (hav a daughter and had a late mc at 19+4 weeks) my fiancée had morning sickness. By the time I went to the dr my HCG was 1.3 but my cervix was still high closed and soft. But they said I was definitely pregnant.
