Should I get my IUD removed?

Question

Hi, I got the mirena iud put in last year in december. It's been about 5 months since I've had it and my cramps are getting progressively worse and more frequent. 
I originally got the iud to hopefully help my already bad period cramps but at this point I'd rather just have a normal period. 
Should I stay with the iud longer to see if my symptoms get better  or just get it removed now? 
Whats your opinion?

Get it out. IUDs are dreadful, unregulated, and the patent process to get them approved is abysmal at best. Definitely do your own research but I'd vote to get it out before it does any more damage.

I would get it removed for sure. What’s the point of keeping something that is only hurting you and slowly causing you more pain? I vote take it out.
