Mercedes Benz c300

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but thought I’d give it a shot lol I have a 2010 Mercedes benz c300 Just like when you suddenly brake and when the seat belt tensioners lock. I've tried doing the usual release technique by trying to push it back up but that instead just made the seat belt tighter and it's still locked has anyone had that problem? How to get it unlocked?
