Super excited- First apartment

I’m 18 and super excited to get my own apartment, I hopefully wanna get it with my sister who’s 20 but she hasn’t given me a for sure yes yet. Will it be hard to get an apartment at 18/19 years old by myself? I’m working on getting a car right now, my moms gonna help me with that once I pass my drivers test. 😊

What are some steps I need to take to make that happen? How much do you think I need to have saved up to be on the safe side? I’m planning goals right now so the move isn’t happening immediately. But preferably in the next 6 months. I live in Seattle so rent is on the higher side but am planning on relocating to California SF bay where most of my family resides. I know both places have high rent but cali is a tad cheaper.

Edit - my job pays $16/hr but I’m getting a new job that’ll pay $20/hr .

Also, I’m considering moving to Arizona where it’s much cheaper also, so rent can be $700-1000 for an apartment. Is it possible to rent an apartment or get approved for it without physically flying down there to meet & look first? And only doing a zoom video call and 3D view and street view? My step mom said she’ll possibly co-sign for me once I show her my pay stubs.
