Too much ginger?
Hi,
I'm getting over a stomach virus and the only liquid I'm keeping down easily is reed's ginger beer. I drank one earlier and drank 1.5 this afternoon. I was very dehydrated, so thankful to find something I could hold down.
However, I just read that only 1-5 grams of ginger a day is safe for a pregnant woman and going above that can increase miscarriage risk?
Anyone know if there's truth to this? One Reed's ginger beer had 26 grams of ginger so one bottle has significantly more than that recommendation. I drank 2.5 already today. That's 65 grams...a lot more than 5.
Should I be concerned?
