First date vent/brag…just need to say it out loud

This evening I had one of the most perfect first dates. Got a sitter for my 3.5year old; he picked me up at my door only after being greeted by my first big baby Doberman (10months old) who he threw the ball around with as I finished getting ready.

He took me to a secluded stocked lake…as we drove up there was a picnic all set up with chairs, blanket, matching sweatshirts (awe), some of my favorite flowers in a vase (gerber daisy), picnic basket 🧺 filled with hot bbq and a cooler filled with freshly cut fruit, raspberry tea and dessert, and last bit not least fishing poles. It was one of the best first dates I’ve ever been on.

First I love fishing and hadn’t been able since I got preggers (long story); he listened to all the tiny details I mentioned on the phone from the fishing thing to my favorite bottled water and flowers…never tried anything but a kiss. Hand holding and standing besides another. Couldn’t ask for a better first date….and I definitely had some really great first dates…but this was perfect and the view with the sunset and sweatshirts. Yup, might have to keep this one. (We have been talking for a while and we’re have met for lunch a few times…mostly because he has 3 kids and I have one and it’s hard juggling 4 kids schedules…sooo this was technically our first date and boy did he not disappoint.
