My boyfriend blocked me because of this, what should i do?

I posted last night, and every comment told me that my boyfriend was being irrational and that he was in the wrong and being controlling. Well i agree. I think my boyfriend said some disrespectful things, told me to shut up, showed his insecurities, was yelling. Well last night, i checked and saw he blocked me from instagram. He has never blocked me before even when mad in the past. I think he owes me an apology, but idk. He was drinking a little, and i dont know if he even remembers him being wrong or if hes going to be stubborn about it. Should i text him and tell him im going to keep my distance until i receive an apology? Or what should i do. Idk if he blocked me on my phone too or what. This has mever happened it wasnt even a huge argument it was him escalating and making assumptions, while i was calm and being nice, and im the one who gets blocked

The thing is, they say relationships require forgiveness and understanding. He has never done anything like this and its not too big of a deal. I want to forgive him and move forward. But idk why he blocked me. In 2 years of being together he has never done this.
