I enjoy having a glass of wine or a cocktail now and then. But my quality of life would not suffer if I could not have an alcoholic beverage ever again.

Yes quite frankly it is kind of annoying how dependant/common place they make alcohol seem in our society. I'm going to be 30 next month. I've never had beer, never had wine, never had any mix drinks etc. The only alcohol I've had is like straight vodka, whiskey and jager. Probably somewhere between 10-20 times between the ages of like 18-22. I just don't like it it tastes nasty and getting drunk isn't worth it I guess haha. 
I have no problem with other people drinking it or enjoying it. Just wish we would normalize the option of not drinking just because we don't want too (not because you are pregnant or an alcoholic etc).

I enjoy  an occasional  drink but yes my life would still be great without it.

Never had it never want it.   I literally cant tell you 1 single good reason to drink basically every person I know who drinks even only occasional drinkers have negative effects of it in their life. My uncle is dying right now from what??? Drinking profusely.  I could go on.   It isnt worth it.  You will loose nothing by not drinking

I don't have kids yet, of course that would greatly impact my alcohol intake. But right now I'm 29, I work my butt off on late shifts in the kitchen and on my few days off I really enjoy going out for drinks with friends. I love cooking with a glass of wine. I love making cocktails and I love catching up with my best friend till 4 in the morning. I even like a craft beer every once in a while, usually with my fiancé. I would still have a great life without alcohol but I definitely consider drinking as a big part of how I spend my time outside of work and household chores.

I grew up with an alcoholic father so I’ve never been a big drinker even socially. I would prefer never having alcohol in or around me for the rest of my life. 
Especially because my husband is in recovery from alcohol as well so he’s id be extremely happy!

My life wouldn’t be unhappy just because I wasn’t drinking, but I do enjoy drinking sometimes and would miss it.
