A Korean Tradition
We celebrated my son’s Baek-il the other day! A Baek-il is a Korean tradition for when a baby reaches 100 days old. My son’s father is Korean and told me that this tradition came about in Korea because back in the day babies were dying before even reaching 100 days old, so when they did reach that 100 days it became something to celebrate. The tradition stuck and now It’s a regular part of their culture.
