Really want to be a sahm

My husband is active duty military and im due with our first child in a few months. I’ve tried to convince him to let me be a sahm due to the frequent moving, difficulty keeping a job on my end due to that moving. And also childcare costs (cdc on my base has like a 5 month waitlist). With bah and his pay we can afford it, and if i paid for childcare in town I would be left with about $100 a paycheck which doesn’t seem worth it to me. Plus with my current hours I would be leaving for work at 8 and not getting home until 6. My husband leaves at 7 and oftentimes also does not get home until 6. Most daycares in my area have a pickup time of 4pm or 430pm. I’ve went through the budget but he feels like I need to have a job. Idk what else to do to convince him it’s a better choice overall.

I also have a side gig that I have from home where I can bring in about $300 a week which I know isn’t much, but it’s something I could do while at home with little guy.
