My 4 month old keeps punching herself?! And stuffs her hand in her mouth?!?

Hiya,

I’m quite concerned about my 4 month old

1) she gets excited and always flails her right hand up and down, punching herself in the ribs. She’s quite strong and the punches/hits have bruised her! The area is very red!

2) she regularly shoves her four fingers in her mouth, towards the back, often making a face as if she’s poked the back of her mouth (like when you’re trying to make yourself sick) and continues this regularly. A few times I’ve observed she may have actually caused some spit up doing this, as there have been solid milk parts in her mouth, which she just swallows back down.

She feeds fine. Regularly feeds and doesn’t spit up after a feed

What is going on?!? Why is she abusing herself?!?!? 😢😔😞😳
