Need opinions on this

My bf canceled plans with me tonight because he’s insecure of his acne. we were just gonna have a rainy night im watching movies. I asked if we could hang out instead tomorrow or day after (Saturday or Sunday) but he said probably not because his acne will be bad. I mean I understand having an insecurity and how it could hold you back but could there maybe be another reason why he doesn’t wanna hang? like he’s not feeling me anymore or becoming lazy to drive here so that he can play video games at home? idk why do y’all think?
