The at home Sneak Peak blood test?

I’m curious to know more about it from a mothers point of view. I really want to do it but it’s also $100 dollars I don’t want to spend it if it’s  not worth it. If you have done it or know someone that did let me know your feelings about it. Was it accurate? Did it hurt like hell?😂

I did the snap one that has a lower chance of male contamination. It was painless, however my first test came back inconclusive. It was because my blood clotted too quickly. But they sent out another one and I got it pretty quickly. Received my results last night saying a girl! So I will have to wait to see if it's true.

Mine was accurate! I know the test says you can do it super early, but I would recommend waiting until after 8 weeks, just because it can take a little while for male DNA to show up on the blood test. I did the at-home finger prick version. Not going to lie, that was rough. It didn’t hurt but it took FOREVER to get enough blood to fill the vial. Next time, I would do the version that you place on your arm instead.

I got boy results and I’ll confirm at my anatomy scan on the 31st. If you decide to try, make sure you completely disinfectant the surfaces of wherever you’re doing the test at and get the snap one. It’s pretty painless!

I considered it after my friend did it, but it gave her a false result. One or two of her other friends did it with correct results. I decided it wasn't worth the money, I'd hate to think it was one gender and buy them stuff then find out at the ultrasound I had to return and exchange what I'd gotten lol.

My friend did it at 6 weeks and it gave her a boy result. she’s about to have twins boys
I did mine at 6 weeks and it was inconclusive so they sent another one that I did at 7 weeks and I found out last week I’m having a boy, gonna reconfirm with nipt and ultrasound later on ☺️

There’s a chance for contamination of male DNA if you do it at home (even with male dogs/cats/etc). I did it at home with my 2nd. It was correct but I’ve seen a lot be wrong. With my 3rd, I did the Clinical SneakPeak (went to a clinic that draws it for you) which has WAY less chance of contamination because they draw directly from vein & it was correct as well. You can def do it, but don’t announce or buy baby clothes until either NIPT or an ultrasound confirms the gender is my suggestion.
