Birth control recommendations?

Hey everyone! I am looking to get on birth control and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or experiences they would like to share. I’ve never been on birth control and have heard the horror stories of side effects that come alongside some of them! Any insight would be great :)

I love my Mirena. I had two before baby, took it out to have a baby, got pregnant in 4 months, popped a new one right back in after baby. I couldn’t ask for anything more than no periods and almost zero PMDD symptoms. It’s literally been a lifesaver for me. I had the same success with the minipill, but taking it at the same time everyday wasn’t really in the cards for me, so a more permanent installation was definitely a better option for me.

Pill, patch and depo. I got pregnant on the pill, highly suggest everyone stays away from depo, patch wasn't too bad.

I’ve been on the pill, Nuva ring, and mirena iud. I was real bitchy on all 3 lol but I have no complaints about the pill and Nuva ring. Didn’t have any bad acne, or weight gain and no complaints on sex either with the Nuva ring. Sometimes I’d forget to take the pill so that’s why I got off of it. The mirena however, I dropped a lot of weight within the first month and not in a healthy way. So I got it removed.
Then I went on the non-hormonal copper IUD. Worst period of my life. My period was normal but very heavy. My cramps were so severe and painful. So after 3yrs I took it out cause my husband and I are ttc. 
I honestly don’t recommend any iud only bc foreign objects should not be in a place it’s not supposed to… As I went though hormonal bcs I felt real shitty bc I wasn’t having my period and that’s not natural at all. But anything to not get pregnant right? 🤷🏽‍♀️ IF ever I’d go back on BC I would do the Nuva ring.
My sister had the arm one and she was just a bitch that’s it lol. Then she got off bc she didn’t feel like herself. So now her and her bf just uses condoms and the “pull out method” it’s going well 😂
