Strep throat

Hello all, I unfortunately have reoccurring strep throat (despite taking antibiotics as prescribed) and I may have to get my tonsils removed.

I am just wondering a couple of things. First of all, to those that have had their tonsils removed, what is the recovery process like as an adult?

Second of all, can strep throat/ other illnesses or infections impact your period? I’ve noticed my periods have become a bit lighter since the reoccurring strep throat, and there’s no chance I’m pregnant.

Also any tips and advice is greatly appreciated!
