Hi, my Daughter had her 12 month appointment today. They did a finger stick and her hemoglobin came back at 7.6. They sent me to the main campus of the hospital for a blood draw. I saw the preliminary results tonight on the app and it looks like her Reticulocyte count is high at 4.4. Has anyone dealt with this before? The prescribed an iron supplement that I will start tomorrow. I just want to know what I can expect going forward. This caught me off guard- as she has not shown any symptoms of anything and hasn’t had so much as a cold. She’s the happiest child I’ve ever seen in my life, a great eater and sleeper since day 1. Im sure we will be sent to a specialist but I am looking for advice if anyone has gone through the same circumstance.
